| Date: October 1st 1975 Characters: Narcissa, Lucius, Severus, Bellatrix and Melanie Status: incomplete Summary: The more sinister members of Hogwarts discuss darker things PRIVATE THREAD
Narcissa Black walked up several flights of stairs to the seventh floor. She looked carefully around her as she made her way closer and closer to the tapestry next to the secret entrance to the room. She scanned the hall, making sure no one was around to see her enter the room. She walked by three times and wished as hard as she could for a meeting place for her friends to come to. There was much she wanted to discuss with Lucius, Severus, Bellatrix and Melanie. Things that couldn't be discussed where possible others could hear them. They had all the same goals once leaving Hogwarts, what they needed to talk about was how they were going to get there, who might try and stop them, and just a few other things that Narcissa wanted to make sure only her most trusted friends heard. She had asked them all to meet her here tonight, to come so they could discuss things.
She then looked at the wall next to the tapestry and saw that the door had appeared. Smirking to herself she made one final look around the hall, saw that the coast was clear, and she entered the room quickly and shut the door behind her.
Her crystal blue eyes scanned her surroundings. The room was pretty much empty except for a few chairs that were in the middle of the room. She walked over to a green armchair and tossed her bag on the floor. She reached inside of it, pulled out her copy of advanced potion making and rested herself in the chair. She figures she mine as well start her potions assignment while she waited for the others to arrive.

| He really didn't feel like trudging all the way up to the seventh floor corridor (afterall, it was furthest from the dungeons) but he did anyway to meet up with Narcissa Black and he imagined, her sister and Lucius Malfoy. He walked down the hall silently, his boots barley making a single sound as he paced three times infront of the wall, wishing for the room to appear. And so it did. A twisted sort of smirk pulled at his lips as he walked over to the door and pulled it open, stepping into the dimly lit room.
"Hello, Narcissa." He said rather darkly, black eyes coming to rest on her. "I thought for sure Lucius would get here before me." He smirked, seeing the boy no where in sight. He sat down in a chair next to her, opening his copy of Advnaced Potion Making as well. The scribbles and notes drawn in the book were everywhere. Places where he had made short cuts in potions, spells, all sorts of things. He looked over his already written essay with mild interest. "Bellatrix is coming, I expect?" He inquired, flipping the parchment over.

| Just a few minutes after Narcissa arrived in the room she heard the door open behind her. She quickly turned her head to see who was entering. A sly smile spread across her red lips as she saw Severus enter the room. "Hello Severus, glad you made it." She laughed at his comment about Lucius not being there yet. "Well, i guess for now it's just you and I and yes, Bella should be arriving soon."
She watched as sat in the chair next to hers and as he opened the same book in which she was reading. Severus was a master at potions making. Every task he had ever been assigned in class he had perfected, amazing not only her, but Professor Slughorn as well. "I think we better wait to discuss the topic at hand until the others arrive, but for now, how about you show me your unsurpassed brilliance in potions making, and help me with this essay." She smiled at him and looked at him, her blue eyes fixed on his black gaze. "You know, that talent of yours will go a long way I believe once you join the Dark Lord. I am sure even he will be impressed by how well you perfect the art of potion making."

| "I had no doubt he'd jump on the chance to be alone with you. In trouble again, is he?" He started writing on the back of the parchment now, continuing his already unnecessarily long essay on the proper making of a Draught of Silence.
He nodded as she spoke and checked a page in his book before he continued writing. "That seems like an idea." He stopped whe she complimented his potion makiing skills. "Should I now?" He quirked a brow, a small smirk pulling at his lips. "And what do I get out of helping you?" He looked over at her, fixing his dark eyes on hers. He had to admit, Lucius did have good taste. "I wouldn't have to perfect it if the idiots writing the books would do it right the first time." He gestured to the many lines he had crossed out in his book. "Unnecessary." He said flatly, continuing to write.

| "I had no doubt he'd jump on the chance to be alone with you. In trouble again, is he?" Narcissa laughed at Severus' comment. "Well, up until recently, if Lucius and I were alone together, it would end up nothing more than a bit of flirting and then one of us pulling back again. I do now think that things with us will start to move a bit forward now. After all, the two of us are really perfect for each other." She sighed and returned Severus' gaze. "Is there anyone you are interested in? Romantically anyway?" This was a question she had never asked him, though she had to admit she was a bit curious. There were not too many in the school that were worthy enough of his talents, and true sinistry. It took quite a special person to admire those qualities, and not loathe them. In another time and place Narcissa herself may have been interested in Severus, but Lucius had always been there. Their families were closely associated with one another and it was just always assumed that the two would eventually get together. Severus definitely had all the qualities that Narcissa found attractive, but he was a halfblood, and her family would have never approved of them in a relationship. She was quite content with Lucius, she just couldn't help but admire Severus' finer qualities.
She smiled in a sly way yet again at his response to asking him to help her with her essay. "Should I now?" He quirked a brow, a small smirk pulling at his lips. "And what do I get out of helping you?" A laugh would escape her lips, oh how he loved to tease her. He was brilliant at potions and he knew it, he should have expected her to ask for his help. "Should you? Why yes, of coarse. It would be the kind thing to do." Narcissa let out another laugh, though this one hinted a bit of a darker tone. Kindness was definitely something that either of them ever showed, period. The mere thought of it turned Narcissa's stomach and she was quite certain it did the same to Severus. "Well, what do you get out of helping me? Let's think. For one, you would be helping an ally better improve her skills that will most certainly come in handy for the Dark Lord's regime, and how could you ever pass up the chance to help the lovely and tempting Narcissa?" She smiled at him, she knew he couldn't refuse her now.
"I wouldn't have to perfect it if the idiots writing the books would do it right the first time." He gestured to the many lines he had crossed out in his book. "Unnecessary." Narcissa nodded. "Well just consider yourself nothing less than a genius Severus, for you alone have been able to perfect other’s work who were already classified as being brilliant. That in itself says a lot."

| Melanie, after having just talked herself out of a detention - it wasn't her fault if that little dirty mudblood had collided with her, and seriously, could they expect her not to do anything? She felt so dirty, she had to take a very cold shower, but now was not the time as Cissy was probably already waiting in the Room of Requirement, and who knows, maybe everybody else was already there as well and were waiting for her. She'd have to do with the disgust that her own clothes inflicted her, and next time she'd have to take other clothes along with her in her bag, just in case. At least, the professor who had caught her was Slughorn, their head of house, who was never too inclined into giving detention to his own students, or to any student for that matter. The old man only liked power and fame, no matter which house it came from, and even though Melanie thought it made him very much unworthy of being head of the noble house of Salazar Slytherin to associate himself with people like Lily Evans - she shuddered lightly at the mere thought of the name - who was, even though Melanie herself couldn't deny that the girl was somewhat smart, a filthy mudblood.
Shaking her head in frustration, she kept on walking along the corridors, her light footstep echoing around her even though she barely made any noise when walking. She slowed her pace as she got closer to the place where the door should be and stopped in front of it with a small smirk. Brushing herself off and running a hand through her long curls to put more volume in her hair, she lightly pushed open the door and entered the room of requirement to find Cissy and Severus already there. Smiling at them as she held her chin high, she made her way to the middle of the room where they were seated and let herself fall into the chair that was facing Cissy's as Severus was sitting in one of the chairs beside hers already and Melanie knew her friend would probably want to sit next to Lucius, unless of course she decided to use him as a chair. Snickering lightly at the thought, a frown soon formed itself on her face as the earlier event that had kept her from being here sooner came back to her.
"I say this school is getting worse every day. Students don't know what respect is anymore," she said indignantly, tossing her long curls with a light shake of her head as she waved her pale hand in the air in annoyance.
